We’ve only been around for a few months, but it’s been oh so sweet! While we have been building our business and getting our name out there, we have had a blast discovering our new favorite Orlando spots. It’s true what they say, “it doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do.” We have truly enjoyed introducing these places of business to the Orlando community and lucky for us, we have to check out each and everyone of them before we host a class there. If you are looking for a cool place to hang, any day of the week, with even cooler owners – check out these sweet Orlando spots that are Enlighten Us favs.
Whippoorwill Beer House & Package Store – Located in the milk district, Whippoorwill is nestled into a quaint corner spot right along E. South Street. It’s retro interior will make you feel right home while you sip on a beer or glass of wine from their unique collection. We like to snack, so one thing we really appreciate about this spot (since they don’t have a full kitchen) is the snacks they offer at the bar – can I get more peanut M&M’s?! Can’t make it there for a drink? Whippoorwill shares it’s space with Easy Luck Coffee & Bodega and let us tell you, they don’t disappoint. Did we mention we like snacks? Well, Easy Luck offers a variety of specialty toast that is mouth watering, to say the least. If you’re in the area, be sure to check them out, morning or night!
Brew Theory – They might still be in their “soft opening” phase (Friday only from 4-10pm), but they’re already one of our favorites! This massive taproom is located just West of I-4 off of Pittman Street. If you’re a fan of Orange County Brewing, you’ll love it here! They are a sister store of that well known Orlando staple. They do serve a lot of their beer, but they also offer beer from other breweries and wine! They don’t have a kitchen, but you’re more than welcome to bring in any food you’d like! Brew Theory is all about the science of beer which has led them to be a contract brewery for other breweries that don’t have anymore capacity at their flagship location. Check em’ out and make sure you get a peek inside their awesome brew room!
À La Cart – Orlando’s newest food truck park. Put simply, it’s heaven. Located in the milk district, À La Cart offers a variety of food trucks parked around their astroturf lawn, while serving beer, wine, and cold brew coffee in their main building. Not only is it great for adults, but there’s a kid’s corner with toys that keeps those little ones entertained while you can enjoy your drink and delicious food. One thing we especially love is how community-based they are – be sure to check out their trivia night or movies on the lawn!
Grape & The Grain – This sweet little wine bar is located in the Mills 50 district, right off of Virginia Drive. Not only do they offer a variety of wine, beer, and delicious charcuterie, they also have frosè… Need we say more? When you pay them a visit, be sure to make your way back to their picturesque patio where we’re sure you’ll spend the remainder of your evening, under the string lights. Next time you’re in the mood for a casual night out under the stars, stop by this spot and tell em’ we sent you!
The businesses and people of Orlando that we’ve encountered on this journey have been nothing short of inspiring. It’s been heartwarming to have some of Orlando’s most successful businesses welcome us with open arms. The partnerships we’ve built have truly made our dream become a reality. We are excited to continue to learn, grow, and show the community what Orlando is made of.
